Dropped right in front of me! Balloon dropped in tge front yard of one house and the radiosonde dropped next in the driveway to the left next door. Way cool! First time I've seen it drop to the ground.

Rare recovery of sonde launched from Area 51. Although tracking was lost at 4,000' AGL, winds were light and it was dropping exceptionally fast. SHT's prediction was quite off. This was found in easy, open, flat terrain about 800' north of predicted. Almost a drive up. Took about an hour to locate because the landing ellipse was big enough. This completes my collection!
