Thoroughly searched the predicted landing area that should have been only 150 ft or so from the last signal received and couldn't find it in the thigh-high sagebrush. Gave up and was driving away when on a whim, drove cross-country to east of the prediction and spotted the parachute tangled low in a sagebrush about 300 ft away and 90° to the flight prediction. This iMet-4 was launched at noon from Indiana University in Bloomington. I retrieved it 4 hours later using SDR++ on my laptop computer after a wild goose chase throiugh rural Kentucky. SDR++ worked just like MySondy Go and it took me right to the sonde, which was hanging about 6 meters off the ground. Unfortunately the parachute bundle was snagged high in a tree about 25m off the ground and could not be recovered..
