This was my 1st Homeowner Assisted DFM17 recovery! I saw that the morning Albany DFM17 landed about 150 feet from a home in CT and I was able to figure out the address, name and then phone number for the homeowner and gave him a call and left a message. He called me back and I explained the whole thing and he had done geocaching so he powered up his handheld GPS and I supplied the lat/long coordinates where the DFM17 landed. He went to take a look and the DFM17 was about 40 feet up but the parachute/balloon remnants were only about 15 feet up so he went back to his house and got his tree trimming pole and was able to snag the string and pull the DFM17 down. I gave him my address and he is gonna mail it to me!
