Last night, after observing the sonde land inside KBNA, I was able to get in contact with the airport manager and gave him the last received coordinates. He and the line crew were able to find the sonde very close to its last shown position. After it was cleared by the airport police, he retrieved it and said we could come get it. Today, after KQ4GRS recovered this morning’s sonde, we met up with him for a quick coffee stop, then rode in his Tesla to the airport terminal to meet with the manager. He gave us the sonde in a large cardboard box, and we had a nice visit and look around the upper terminal platform.
Thanks to everyone at BNA for accommodating us, and to KQ4GRS for the coffee and Tesla demonstration. It was nice to get to meet up once again! :)

My very first recovery after a very strange flight. The balloon never reached burst altitude and stayed in the air for nearly 6 hours! When found in an open field on the east side of Sandy Ridge Rd (very close to last reported position), the balloon was intact and still mostly inflated. Followed the cord to find the sonde on the west side of the road.
